The Anshei Shalom Men's Club was the brainchild of former president Mitch Orlofsky. Just prior to taking office, Mitch tossed around the idea of starting a club for the men of Anshei, to both have a good time and raise money for the shul. For two and a half years prior to the opening of the new building, the congregation was divided between the Veteran's Hall minyan and those that remained at Anshei. Mitch's dream was to reunite the congregation through shared events. As the shul opened its doors in September of 2005, so was born the Men's Club.

In just over a year, the Men's Club has had countless events catering to its member's interests. Bar-b-ques, movie nights and field trips are just some of the fun events that we have had.

The Men's Club has proudly sponsored the Women's League Shabbaton Oneg for the past two years. With some of the monies that we have raised we purchased a bulletproof vest for the Israeli Defense Force, as well as purchasing various items for the shul.

Some of our plans for the upcoming year include CPR/defibrillator training, sponsoring shiurim and attending roller derby and amateur wrestling.
